Working Together
Please come and join Bobby and Ruth in beautiful Shropshire, on these challenging new courses designed to stretch the more experienced student as well as encouraging the beginner. We will be providing a series of workshops that will both stimulate and challenge through the application of drawing, colour and design in relation to textile practice. Courses A will be delivered by the tutors independently while for Courses B, students will be working with both tutors on the development of a project. As the courses are repeated you will have the opportunity of coming to both of them! Courses take place over three days on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

COURSES A
28th ~ 30th April 2009 or 5th ~ 7th May 2009
A1 Drawing with a pencil Bobby Britnell
This course will give immediate confidence to students in drawing large scale compositions, using mainly charcoal and pencil.
A2 Drawing without a pencil Ruth Issett
This course will enhance and develop confidence using alternative methods of drawing with colour and liquid media.
COURSES B
9th ~ 11thJune 2009 or 16th ~ 18th June 2009
B1 From Colour to Tone Ruth and Bobby
Begin exploring colour with Ruth and create powerful, subtle, & dynamic combinations using a variety of methods. These exciting results will be used to translate into large scale tonal drawings and colour studies with Bobby.
B2 From Tone to Colour Bobby and Ruth
Spend the first half of the course with Bobby, exploring ways of creating tonal drawings using pencil and charcoal and then move on to Ruth to learn techniques in the use of bringing colour into these compositions, with both liquid and dry coloured media.
COSTS
£150.00 for each 3-day course
Costs include tuition, some materials and a light lunch of homemade soup and a fresh roll. Hot and cold drinks will be continually available throughout each day.
